Our Juniors have been busy training this year and did a great job representing the club at this year’s County Track and Field Championships, held at Bury St Edmunds on Sunday 14th May. During the course of a rather warm afternoon, 5 members competed against other clubs in both 800m and 1500m distances. Competing in the 800m U13 girls category, Laila McNeill and Ella Baalham put in solid performances to both achieve PB’s of 2.37.9 & 3.14.8 respectively and finishing 2nd and 8th overall. Harry Alexander was our sole runner in the 800m U13 boys category, but did a great run despite carrying an injury, also achieving a PB of 3.03.6 and finishing in 6th place. For the 1500m U13 boys, Felix Clover did well, putting in a steady run to finish 12th in a time of 6.58.6. Finally, another solid performance from Daniel Cooper in the 1500m U15 boys category saw him finish in 8th place with a PB of 5.30.2. A very well done to all of you.
